The motion, filed by MPs aligned with the Paydari Front, accuses Araghchi of meeting US envoy Steve Witkoff at the UN General Assembly without authorisation, a claim directly opposed by Supreme National Security Council chief Mohsen Rezaei, who said the talks had prior approval.
"If the necessary conditions are met, the strait can be reopened, and normal maritime traffic can resume within seven days," Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Friday.
Iran's foreign minister has proposed a seven-day roadmap to Washington under which Iran would reopen the Strait of Hormuz within seven days if the US lifts its naval blockade, alongside other conditions aimed at ending the war.
