Walking onto a ranch outside of Los Angeles, you expect to see many things. A horse or two, some stables, other animals, perhaps. What you probably didn't expect to find was Hollywood's biggest rising star surrounded by future Oscar nominees and winners, as well as a child star or two. What an odd place 1960s LA is.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood has officially returned to the U.S. streaming Top 10, climbing to No. 9 on JustWatch's Daily Streaming Charts after jumping another 10 positions. The movie is currently available through Hulu and Prime Video in the United States. The resurgence comes ahead of The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, which reunites Brad Pitt with his Oscar-winning role. Quentin Tarantino wrote the sequel to his Hollywood epic, but handed directing duties to David Fincher, with the movie currently scheduled for a theatrical release on November 25 before eventually heading to Netflix.
The original film stars Leonardo DiCaprio (The Revenant) as fading television star Rick Dalton and Pitt (F1) as his stunt double Cliff Booth, alongside Margot Robbie (Barbie) as Sharon Tate, Margaret Qualley (The Substance) as Pussycat, Austin Butler (Dune: Part Two) as Tex Watson, Dakota Fanning (Ripley) as Squeaky Fromme, Sydney Sweeney (The Housemaid) as Snake, Al Pacino (The Godfather) as Marvin Schwarz, and Kurt Russell (The Hateful Eight) as Randy Miller.
Is Quentin Tarantino Directing ‘The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth’?
The Brad Pitt-led sequel is being made from a script that Tarantino put together himself, but he didn't feel he had the desire to direct, since it would be a sequel and not something that he felt was "enough" to be his final film. David Fincher, acclaimed for his directing on Zodiac and The Social Network, has been brought on by Pitt to direct The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, which also stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Peter Weller, Elizabeth Debicki, Carla Gugino, and Scott Caan. The movie is confirmed to be set in a much different version of Hollywood in 1977, eight years after the first film, which took place in the summer of 1969. In disappointing news, Leonardo DiCaprio isn't reprising his role as Rick Dalton in the sequel. Or at least, that's what we've been told.
