Fans of the most successful Spider-Man movie of all time are finally getting the treat they've been eagerly waiting for. With worldwide earnings of about $2.5 billion, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has surpassed previous live-action records to become the highest-grossing franchise film. The superhero masterpiece hit theaters on July 31, 2026, to massive critical acclaim and, over two months later, is officially making its digital debut, which will, as expected, be followed by its physical and streaming release.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has broken multiple records since its release, including becoming the third highest-grossing film of all time behind Avatar and Avengers: Endgame. Led by Tom Holland as Peter Parker / Spider-Man, marking his fourth franchise film, Brand New Day is set four years after the emotional events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Peter Parker now lives in isolation after the world forgets him, including his girlfriend Michelle "MJ" Jones-Watson and best friend Ned Leeds, while also dealing with evolved powers he initially tries to suppress. The movie also sees him cross paths with other MCU characters, including The Punisher, Bruce Banner, and Jean Grey.
Fans will get to revisit the phenomenal hit when Spider-Man: Brand New Day is released on digital platforms on October 6, 2026, as confirmed by ComicBook. The film is expected to be available to purchase or rent on platforms such as Prime Video, iTunes, Vudu, and Google Play Movies. Then, on November 17, physical copies will be available for purchase, including DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray. Keep in mind that Brand New Day's subscription streaming release date hasn't been confirmed as of this publication, but since Sony Pictures distributes the film, it will follow a different path than standard Marvel movies.
